Hazards in hiring Off-Duty Officers

We hire several off-duty officers. Some of them are church members, some are not. We count it as another outreach opportunity for our officers to be able to bring coworkers to church who would otherwise not attend. We are in a slightly different environment than that one mentioned in the article, but I had never considered the official relationship we have with our officers on duty.
